 Introduction

Franklin Savings Bank recognizes and respects the importance of maintaining the privacy of our customer's personal financial data. Because of our interest in protecting privacy, we continually examine the operating practices and procedures of our organization. Franklin Savings Bank has adopted the following Privacy Statement that describes how we safeguard the privacy of our customers.

Recognition of Our Customer's Expectation of Privacy

Franklin Savings Bank recognizes that our customers expect and deserve privacy and security for their personal and financial matters. Franklin Savings Bank is committed to taking any reasonable necessary steps to maintain standards and procedures designed to prevent the misuse of this information.

Use, Collection and Retention of Customer Information

We will collect, use and retain information about our customers only where we reasonably believe it would be useful (and allowed by law) in administering our business, and providing products and services and other opportunities to our customers. We use information to (1) protect and administer our customers' records, accounts, and funds; to (2) comply with certain laws and regulations; to (3) help design or improve our products and services; and to (4) understand the financial needs and provide quality products and outstanding service.

Maintenance of Accurate Information

Franklin Savings Bank has established practices to provide our customers with financial information that is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. Customers are encouraged to notify the bank immediately if they receive information regarding their relationship with the bank that they believe to be inaccurate.

Limiting Employee Access to Information

The importance of confidentiality and customer privacy is addressed in our employee handbook and the "Code of Conduct" signed by all employees of Franklin Savings Bank. We prohibit employees from giving information to anyone in a manner that would violate any applicable law or our Privacy Statement. Information is available to our employees on a "need to know" basis so they can do their jobs.

Protection of Information

Appropriate security standards and procedures are maintained to help prevent unauthorized access to confidential customer information. Access to your information is granted only in accordance with our internal security procedures.

Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information

Franklin Savings Bank does not reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identified data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, unless the (1) customer requests it; the (2) information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by the customer; the (3) information is being provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; or (4) disclosure is lawfully permitted or required (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, requested by a regulator, etc.).

Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties

At times it is necessary to provide personally identifiable information to a third party, such as a vendor that we hire to prepare account statements, or print end of year tax information. We may also provide this information to another financial institution for the purpose of jointly marketing a financial product or service. These vendors agree in writing to safeguard confidential customer information and abide by applicable laws.

Internet Banking and Web Site Privacy

Franklin Savings Bank understands how important it is to protect the privacy of our on-line customers and web site visitors. We collect information from our users during the enrollment process. We do not collect personally identifiable information about individuals except when such individuals specifically provide such information on a voluntary basis. Your on-line information is held to the same degree of confidentiality as other financial records. Upon your request, we will update or correct any information specific to your account in a timely manner.

Cookies

As a convenience to our customers, we may at some time in the future collect information through the use of "cookies." Cookies are small text files a web site assigns and can use: 1) to recognize repeat users, thus facilitating the user's ongoing access to and use of the site; and 2) to allow a site to track usage behavior and compile aggregate data, thus allowing content improvements and targeted advertising.

Ending Customer Relationships

When you end your customer relationship with us, or when we end our customer relationship with you, we will treat the information we have about you as if you were still our customer.
